Jingzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone (209 square kilometers)

Located in the east of downtown Jingzhou, Jingzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone (JETDZ) was built in 1992 and approved as a national economic & technological development zone in 2011. It is a national industrial transfer accommodation demonstration zone designated by the National Development and Reform Commission, one of the 33 national transformation and upgrading demonstration development zones in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, as well as the main platform for Jingzhou's industrial economy and investment promotion.

JETDZ covers an area of 209 square kilometers and has a population of 180,000. With over 1,000 industrial enterprises, 229 enterprises above the designated size, over 80 enterprises with an annual output value of over 100 million yuan each, 7 enterprises with tax payments of over 100 million yuan each and 47 high-tech enterprises, JETDZ has formed six leading industries-equipment manufacturing, optoelectronic information, green chemical, new energy, new materials and textile & apparel after more than 20 years of development

Jingzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone (251.53 square kilometers)

Jingzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone is a national high-tech industrial development zone approved by the State Council on February 28, 2018. It consists of Chengnan High-tech Park (a provincial economic & technological development zone established in 1992) and Taihu High-tech Park (a provincial high-tech industrial development zone established in 2012). It has vigorously fostered strategic emerging industries, conducted overall planning, taken targeted measures, and focused on developing the digital economy, agricultural technologies, high and new technologies, and a livable new city.

Ji'nan Eco-Culture & Tourism Area (220 square kilometers)

Located in the north of downtown Jingzhou, with a total area of about 220 square kilometers and a population of about 80,000, Ji'nan Eco-Culture & Tourism Area consists of Ji'nan Town, Fenghuang Sub-district Office and 31 administrative villages (communities). In 2010, the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee and the Hubei Provincial People's Government approved of establishing Ji'nan Eco-Culture & Tourism Area. As a dispatched county-level administrative body of the Jingzhou Municipal People's Government, the Administrative Committee of Ji'nan Eco-Culture & Tourism Area is fully responsible for the management, preservation and use of major historical sites in this area, and performs the administrative function of economic and social affairs management in this area. Positioned as a functional zone for the culture & tourism development of Jingzhou, the area enjoys exceptional advantage in eco-culture & tourism development.

Jiangling Green Energy Chemical Industry Park (Jingzhou Energy Chemical Industry Park)

Located in the Jingjiang section of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River in south central Hubei, in Jingzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone and at the intersection of Haolebaoji-Ji'an Railway and Yangtze River Golden Waterway, Jiangling Green Energy Chemical Industry Park is a provincial development strategy. The environmental impact assessment of the park has been approved by the ecological environment department. The startup area covers an area of 50 square kilometers. Jingzhou has forged longstanding and friendly strategic partnerships with two industrial associations (China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, China Coal Processing & Utilization Association), as well as seven research institutes (China National Petroleum & Chemical Planning Institute, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Sinopec Shanghai Research Institute of Petrochemical Technology, Sinopec Dalian (Fushun) Research Institute of Petroleum and Petrochemicals, Wuhuan Engineering Co., Ltd., China Tianchen Engineering Corporation Ltd. and Hualu Engineering & Technology Co., Ltd.).

The park has brought in projects of central enterprises like China Three Gorges Corporation and China Huadian Corporation Ltd., and is negotiating with over 50 central enterprises. It aims to build a key industrial park with an investment of 200 billion yuan and an output value of 200 billion yuan within 10 to 15 years, and develop five platforms (C-1, ammonia, energy, logistics and circular economy), junction power stations, coal reserve bases, as well as eight industries (energy chemical, new materials, dangerous chemical logistics, etc.)

Central China Surface Treatment Circular Economy Industrial Park in Jingzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone

With an area of 975 mu, a floor area of 1.1 million square meters, a daily electroplating wastewater treatment capacity of 27,000 tons, a total investment of 10 billion yuan and a gross annual industrial output value of nearly 10 billion yuan, Central China Surface Treatment Circular Economy Industrial Park provides industrial support to enterprises in advanced manufacturing industries such as military, automobile, electronics and hardware.

Jingzhou Petroleum Science & Technology City

With a total investment of 6 billion yuan, Jingzhou Petroleum Science & Technology City aims to implement Project 133 integrating a petroleum science & technology innovation platform, an energy intelligence valley and a smart industry park. "133" refers to one core (strengthening the mechanism of cooperation among the university, the local government and the oil company based on the advantage of Yangtze University in sci-tech resources), three industries (petroleum equipment and intelligent manufacturing, smart oil services, oilfield chemistry) and three bases (Jingzhou District, Jingzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone, Honghu Fuchang Economic Development Zone). The city focuses on developing industrial clusters such as intelligent energy equipment manufacturing, petrochemical equipment manufacturing, oil & gas gathering and transportation pipes, oil & gas chemical and smart oil & gas services.

Shishou Central China Sports Industry Park

With a total area of 3,070 mu, Shishou Central China Sports Industry Park will be constructed in three phases. With a land area of 903 mu, Phase 1 involves the production of sports facilities and equipment such as plastic tracks, artificial surfs and sports seats. The park, proposed to be developed into the largest sports facilities manufacturing industry park in Central China, has been named "Shishou National Sports Industry Demonstration Base" by the General Administration of Sport of China.

Songzi High-end Calcium Circular Economy Industry Park

With a planned total investment of 5 billion yuan, divided into the project area of Lin'gang New District and the project area of Liujiachang, the project of Songzi High-end Calcium Circular Economy Industry Park is proposed to construct a 1,000-mu deep processing base. In the project area of Liujiachang, limestone, active calcium oxide, dry-mixed mortar, quality manufactured sand and cement products will be produced, mineral-specific transportation roads, resettlement communities and other support facilities will be constructed; in the project area of Lin'gang New District, a 200,000t/y light calcium carbonate project, a 500,000t/y super fine coarse calcium powder project, a 200,000t/y nano calcium carbonate project and a smart logistics center project will be constructed in the 400-mu project area of Lin'gang New District.

Jianli Central China Eco-Aluminum Industry Park

Located in Jianli County, with a planned area of 10,000 mu, a Phase I area of 4,000 mu and a total investment of 20 billion yuan, Jianli Central China Eco-Aluminum Industry Park is a large industrial park integrating the functions of aluminum profile production and processing, logistics and trade. Enterprises in the park have core production equipment and processes such as vertical spraying, vertical oxidation, wood grain transfer, sewage treatment and fusion-casting aluminum bar. With a headquarters building, a research center and a product showroom, the park provides supporting services to settled enterprises, and is committed to promoting the high-end, clustered, intelligent and ecological development of the deep processing of aluminum. To date the park has brought in 69 aluminum profile processing and matching enterprises like Nangui Aluminum Industry and Longtao Aluminum Industry.
